India will host the next meeting of TAPI gas pipeline

India will host the next steering committee meeting of the TAPI (Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India) gas pipeline.

  • The decision came during the sixth joint Inter-Governmental Committee (IGC) meeting on economic, trade, scientific and technological co-operation.
  • India has its interest to tap Turkmenistan’s Galkynysh gas-fields, which are the fourth largest gas-fields in the world.
