India-Asean Youth Summit to begin in Bhopal
On August 14, 2017, a 5-day India-Asean Youth Summit would begin in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh.
- “Shared Values, Common Destiny” will be the theme of the event.
- The Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh Shivraj Singh Chouhan will inaugurate the summit in a function.
- The summit would commemorate the 25th anniversary of Association of Southeast Asian Nations – India dialogue partnership.
- The event would be jointly organized by the Ministry of External Affairs, India Foundation and the state government.
- Dialogue and debate will be promoted among the nations by the forum.
- Dialogue and debate will further strengthen ties among the 11 countries.
- Around 250 delegates from Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Brunei, Philippines, Cambodia, Myanmar, Laos, Vietnam, and India are expected to attend the summit.
